Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, childhood friends Bence and Matyi – known as the DJ / producer duo Gemcamp – craft music across a wide spectrum of bass genres, including UK Garage, Bassline, UK Dubstep, Bass House and Drum & Bass. These styles shine through in their diverse yet cohesive DJ sets, where they consistently keep the energy levels high. Since launching the Gemcamp project, their tracks have been signed by renowned labels such as CruCast, Circus Records, Cyclops Recordings, 3000 Bass, Garage Shared and Yosh.
Many of these releases have charted on Beatport, with their latest mini-EP – Louser / Emergency Call – reaching number 7 in the Top 10 Bass House Releases. The duo has also garnered support from prominent bass artists like AC Slater, Gentlemens Club, Skepsis, Darkzy and DJ EZ, with their tracks featured at events and on top radio platforms such as BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, SWU FM and Trickstar Radio.
As resident DJs for Budapest-based event team Next Level, Gemcamp has countless events under their belt, from intimate club gigs to major festivals. Highlights include playing on some of the largest stages at Sziget, Balaton Sound, Strand, Campus, SZIN and Bass Paradise, alongside appearances at iconic Hungarian venues like Akvárium Klub, A38 Hajó, Cinema Hall and Barba Negra.
