Gemelli DiVersi is the most successful -- pop/hip-hop acts to come from Italy at the end of the '90s. The band is formed by Mcs Emanuele "Thema" Busnaghi and Luca “ Grido” Aleotti, singer Francesco “Strano” Stranges and the Dj Alessandro "THG" Merli. Their debut single, "Un Attimo Ancora," released in 1998 and built upon the chorus of <a href="spotify:artist:6dmT9Ks01aMhsYEKitt5oR" data-name="Pooh">Pooh</a>'s '70s hit "Dammi Solo un Minuto," turned out to be a huge success, leading the first album GEMELLI DIVERSI to Platinum. After taking part in a Coca-Cola TV commercial, in 2000 the band released the second studio album 4X4, and the photo book E Mò lo Sai. The next year saw the release of live album COME PIACE A ME.
After a tour supporting <a href="spotify:artist:61J0BktHv7PuP3tjTPYXSX" data-name="Eros Ramazzotti">Eros Ramazzotti</a>, in 2002 the band recorded the 3rd studio album FUEGO, which included the hit single "Mary”. In 2003 they won the Best Italian Act award at the MTV European Music Awards. In 2004 they released the 4th studio album REALITY SHOW. In 2005 they took part in the Italian Live8, and the following year they started their own program on MTV Italy called Pimp My Wheels, a two-wheel version of the more famous Pimp My Ride. In 2007 they released their 5th studio album BOOM! In 2009 the band took part in the Festival di Sanremo and was released the first Greatest hits SENZA FINE 98-09. The 2012 was the time for the 6th studio album TUTTO DA CAPO. In 2014 Grido and THG left the band. In 2016 the new band recorded the 7th studio album UPPERCUT. They are currently working on new songs.
