The Stockholm based duo Mathilda and Julia are the creators behind Geminii - a project that breathes cinematic choir and melancholia. Their productions are a colorful mix of electronic elements and vocal based soundscapes, creating epic and emotional ambiance.
Their different backgrounds are reflected in the sound, where Mathilda’s long history within classical music and cinematic composition is blended with Julia’s experience as a songwriter and producer on the Swedish alternative electronica and pop scene.
The concept was started in 2019. Since then the duo has recorded music in both Stockholm and New York, and have collaborated with several artists like Ooyy and Hampus Naeselius. Storytelling is a fundamental part of their creative process, and their music has frequently been used in moving media content and television syncs.
