Gene Moore is a husband, and two time Grammy nominee, from Houston, TX. He entered the music industry singing background for notable gospel artists such as: Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, and Multi-Grammy award winning gospel artist, Kirk Franklin whom he sang with for 7 years. Shortly after, he went on tour with Grammy winner, India.Arie, whom he presently travels with as a supporting vocalist while simultaneously being his own artist. He earned his first Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Album for his 2019 LP release, “Tunnel Vision.” He acquired his second Grammy nomination as a featured artist on PJ Morton’s song entitled, “The Better Benediction,” which was nominated for Best Gospel Song performance in 2023.
Recently, Gene has released his new 6 track EP entitled “Introspection.” This EP showcases his exceptional blending of genres from Urban AC to funk to gospel, while still giving a faith filled message. “Introspection” features the soulful ballad, “Beautiful.” with India.Arie. Other features include Red Hands and Oswin Benjamin on the groovy inspirational song, “Thanks.” His focus single “I Believe” is a heart felt ballad of faith and hope, which displays Gene’s ability to vocally merge soul and gospel.
