Geneen’s new single “I Worship You” is a beautifully arranged declaration of praise to God. The song is penned by the artist herself and Jason White of Whitethrone Productions, Inc. the producer of the song. “I Worship You” opens up with a pure heart’s cry of commitment to worship, with lyrics like “Do what You will to do… Oh Lord, Make me a praise” resonating throughout the song as its theme.
As usual, the musicality from Jason White as producer is stellar. Presenting an amazing collaborative effort of anointed and skilled musicians and singers. The classic “call & response” method of a typical praise & worship leader is perfectly enveloped in Geneen’s vocal arrangements. Her ability to sing in her lower register was a nice switch up on this song, however, true to form she leaves us with her seemingly effortless belts of soprano squalls at the end.
The simplicity of “I Worship You” is the antidote for an awesome worship experience. A congregation of any size or nationality is able to sing this song and feel the authentic presence of God throughout. It also hits the bullseye with a perfect blend of the CCM/Gospel music genres and is sure to be a radio/ streaming favorite.
