Ioana Toderas, known formerly as Geneva, is a Romanian-born immigrant who migrated to the States during childhood. After living her early years on her own in Dumfries West Virginia, she returned to Romania at 16 and was discovered by Romanian producer MTZ. Taking a chance, MTZ made an introduction to one of the biggest rappers in Romania, Grasu XXL, who after hearing Ioana’s demo decided to produce her first album. This break launched her music career.


In 2010, Geneva released her first mixtape which was a fusion of funk and hip-hop infused with acoustic instruments. This experimental style caught wind and gained traction - becoming noticed internationally. She went on to sing at the Romanian Music Awards (2011) and followed up with a feature on Corina <a href="spotify:track:1jUnlf2iuVdEIcy5uC33Uw" data-name="No Sleepin' - Original_Edit">No Sleepin' - Original_Edit</a> which peaked to #1 in Spain &amp; Poland , #8 on the Romanian music charts and single “Slut Drop” which made the Top 20 on ARIA charts (Australia).


Known also as GRLNWRLD, Geneva has relaunched her identity in both Los Angeles and New York working with ASAP Rocky producer MP Williams and Rae Sremmurd platinum-producer Sparxxx. Her music embodies rich storytelling lyricism mixed in an atmospheric soundscape of dark fantasy string play and hard hitting 808s that is drawn from influences in East Coast Rap, West Coast Hip-Hop, Euro Dance and Jazz.
