Genis is a Mexican retrofuturistic electronic music duo formed by Héctor Genis and Valentina Moretti, crafting atmospheric soundscapes with analog synthesizers, warm pads, and vintage drum machines. Their style blends synthwave, chillwave, dream pop, downtempo, and experimental electronic music, evoking cinematic nights, neon lights, and timeless nostalgia.

Debuting in 2020 with Midnight Drive and Future Frequencies (Rex Records), they introduced their 80s-inspired yet modern synth sound, quickly resonating with fans of Tycho, Kavinsky, M83, and Chromatics.

In 2023, they released Just Leave The Past Behind, featuring renowned producer Emilio Acevedo (Sonido Lasser Drakar, Titán), adding layers of Mexican electronic heritage to their sonic identity.

Their latest single, Running Away, explores new creative directions—merging ambient textures, emotive melodies, and immersive electronic arrangements that invite listeners to travel through inner worlds and futuristic landscapes.
