Genre is a Finnish rock band blazing down the rock ‘n’ roll highway with a modern sound and a massive attitude. This four-member band—vocals, guitar, bass, and drums—delivers high-energy, chorus-driven tracks packed with killer riffs and bold solos. They may not re-invent the rock wheel, but they sure aren’t afraid to drive it full throttle.

True to their name, Genre pulls rock influences from across the spectrum, crafting a versatile sound that channels raw power, pure joy and infectious good vibes.

Formed in the early 2010s by childhood friends Antti Rautajoki (guitar) and Arttu Raappana (drums), the band soon welcomed Joonas Laitinen on bass, with Saana Borgström joining on vocals in 2023.

Lead guitarist and composer Antti Rautajoki brings a rich rock legacy, having honed his craft alongside Finnish rock legend Remu Aaltonen in Remu & Hurriganes for years—growing Genre’s roots straight from rock history.
