Gentry Bronson has been called "Tori Amos with testicles," a "21st century Billy Joel," and a "barefoot punk pianist" by music critics. He's a classically trained musician who has won awards for both his songwriting and performances. Dan Frost of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "Gentry Bronson can see the future of the music business."
Gentry formed his first band in Minnesota in 1988. He was part of the Seattle music scene in the early 90s and was a DJ in Prague in the mid-90s before forming the Night Watchmen in 2001. The band released one EP and two albums, including 'Lost In California,' which stayed on MP3.com's charts for a year.
His solo career began in 2004, and over the next decade, he released five albums, two EPs, and many singles and videos. He received international airplay, did seven European tours, performed on live TV in Amsterdam, toured the US multiple times, and sang solo at Oakland Coliseum.
Gentry's single 'Avond' was the first English version of the Dutch classic and was played on NL Radio 2. Hip hop artist John Brown featured him on his song and video 'No Games.' And the title track from the album 'Santa Fe Sky,' which Gentry co-produced with Dave Hoover, was featured in the award-winning film 'Roxie.'
In 2018, Gentry released the nouveau classical album 'Environments,' and it gained wide recognition on the meditation app Insight Timer. He now runs GB Media and Creative, is a producer and writer, and lives in New Orleans.
