Genu has a unique sense of musicality that manages to draw inspiration from a broad range of genres whilst still feeling wholly original.
Genu’s music, highly melodic and strikingly creative, ranges from Chamber Pop and Acoustic Ballads to Pop Rock or Alternative Rock. Genu is a singer/songwriter, but he is also producing his own compositions.
Genu started playing the guitar at the age of nine. However, as a fun fact, it was not the guitar the first instrument he learned to play: at the age of six, he started taking accordion lessons. At the age of fifteen he formed his first rock band, called Timpul (The Time).
He wrote the music for theatrical pieces (and played that music live in those shows) and won several awards for it.
In November 2020, his song "Come Closer" made its debut on Romania's national radio station and several other radio stations around the world.
