Geoff Leppard were formed when the "evil twins" (Azlan and Wispy) decided that they needed to do something even more stupid than they had previously. Having formed the band and had a few jam sessions with a plan in mind to perform at the Lotus Festival on the weekend of the 25th June 2011. This soon spiralled out of control when Neil Reed of Shameless Records got wind of the plans and offered to help record a charity single.
Following a mantra of "style over substance" Geoff Leppard began what can only be described as a guerilla marketing campaign to build the hype around the single and raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. With the aid of the Lotus enthusiasts community, the single 'Cars' stormed into the UK rock charts reaching number 51 on the day of its release.
