Born from a limerent fantasy, George Edwards early works sing of tales of heartache and longing. A romantic at heart his poetic style seeps into his moody folk ballads, tales told when the moon is at its highest in the winter sky, while it’s blueish hues carve through the forest fog. These Songs were written in a dream like state, spilling out after travelling the world and dealing with departure of a long lost lover.
“Noohn Day Dream”, “Half a World Away” and “I Hope She Knows” were written and inspired by time spent in the New Forest, England after a long time away from home, whereby George had stumbled upon something very beautiful…
George grew up listening to the powerful voices of the rat pack era, Namely “Dean Martin” “Frank Sinatra” “Nat King Cole” and “Bobby Darin”. Whilst also being influenced by his musical father, who introduced him to a multitude of iconic British rock and folk artists.
