Born & raised in the inner city of Baltimore, Gambino pulls inspiration from many forms in his daily life & consistently delivers a message of hope, perseverance, and the struggle in the city he loves with recordings like “Waiting” (2017), “Welcome Home” (2018) & his latest commercial recording of “Run It Up” (2019). Some of the artists that he draws inspiration from include: YFN Lucci, Sauce Walka, Wu Tang Clan & LL Cool J, all of which have the “swagger in their voice” – which Gambino embodies & channels in his music. He believes his destiny is to inspire the next generation with the belief “if he could do it, anybody can do it.”
