George Ludwig was born in Chicago, but eventually made his way to San Francisco via a circuitous route. As a bass player, he played bass with Jack Logan in The Anglers as well as That Hope (The Something Brothers) in the mid 80's. Eventually switching to guitar, he played with Chicago's female-fronted death rock band, The Sex Kittens. After having some adventures in Europe, he settled in San Francisco, where he fronted the 90-s Brit-pop band, The Inflatable Scream. During this time he also engineered and mixed albums for Here We Burn ("Fall") and Switchblade Symphony ("Serpentine Gallery"). In 2010, he released "Rise Time", a collection of instrumental improvisations which were recorded using a very strict creative methodology (for example, each song was improvised in two hours or less using a live looper). Since then, he has been constantly writing and recording. 2022 is the year that best of that work will finally be released!
