George Marios is an Anthemic Alt/Rock artist from the quaint Greek city of Kavala, and he has called England home since 2007.
His music has been described as "work full of surprises and endearing maturity" by Guitarist Magazine amongst other publications.
As a youngster, however, George wasn’t exactly rushing to pick up a guitar and sing. Despite his mother’s pleas for him to pick up an instrument, George wanted nothing to do with it. That all changed when he stumbled across Metallica's S&M record at 16—it was like a switch flipped. Suddenly, music wasn't just noise; it was everything.
Even though his musical journey initially focused on instrumental prowess, it soon expanded into songwriting and vocals—a natural evolution driven by artistic restlessness, a desire for deeper expression, and a growing love for words.
His debut album, Daffodil—a blend of Anthemic Rock with Alternative and Progressive influences—was extremely well received by both the worldwide press and fans alike. In addition to his solo work at the time, George also toured as the lead guitarist for alt-rock luminaries The Pineapple Thief, contributing to their live albums Hold Our Fire and Nothing but the Truth during his tenure.
George is currently gearing up for the release of his sophomore album, Accidental Hero, slated for late summer this year.
