George Cristian Sandru began living honestly by these words the moment he took up playing fingerstyle guitar. George grew up in Rome, Italy, but now lives in Dublin, Ireland, spending most his time playing his heart out on the city streets. With his playing, George hopes to share the immense love he has for music, and bring light to the people around him. Primarily self-taught, George’s passion for fingerstyle guitar has allowed him to progress quickly by studying the intricate techniques of other musicians he respects, such as those heard in “Bell’s Harmonic”, by one of his favorite artists and a good friend, Alan Gogoll. The challenging old school fingerstyle that can be heard in George’s latest release “Salt Water”, is inspired by yet another great guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel. Tommy’s signature from when they met backstage at a theatre in Cork remains on George’s acoustic guitar, and brings him joy and inspiration to continue every day. Aside from his live performances across Dublin, George is also now sharing original compositions accompanied by beautiful new videos on Instagram.
