25 years ago, I had the privilege to record a solo album back in the Philippines in 1995 entitled Basta’t Ikaw, in English, (As long as it’s you”) that includes Tagalog and English songs. produced by the Southern Stars of NZ founded by Arnel Leysa and by a winning composer, Mr. Vehnee Saturno.
My first singing experience was with the BON (Beads of Notes) Church Choir together with my lovely wife, Amyn Aznar Lara. Then I later joined the OPM (Organisasyon na Pilipinong Mag-aawit) and a show band called Music Making Company. Then in
1995 my first solo album was nominated for Best New Recording Artist of the year.
