Gewzer (Juan Gabriel Escobedo Rodriguez) is a producer, song writer, visual artist, vocalist and DJ based in Fresno, CA. As a co-founding member of Central California’s “Smokescreen” an underground event and collective, they were best known for introducing a distinct brand of internet-aware club music to Fresno. Gewzer's productions have a sound that is hard to pin down -- somewhere between hip-hop, juke, house, and techno. They incorporate off-kilter club rhythms, samples from nature, and touches of the human voice -- all morphed together in permutations that help you dance, sweat, grow, glow and see beauty. Gewzer's debut album G(LOVE)S was released in May 2016 on Baby Blue's Vancouver-based Cyber Spa label. Gewzer has had the blessed honor to play in support of many of their influences, such artists as Air Max 97, False Witness, Addison Groove, Rabit, Elysia Crampton, RP Boo, Massacooramaan, DJ J Heat, 8ulentina, Foozool, and N.A.A.F.I
