Ghost Pepper Intergalactic

Writer, neuroscientist, musician/producer born, raised and based in Alabama.

I've always heard music in my head. Sometimes bits - a melody, rhythm, chord progression - sometimes full pieces. I build on what I’m given. I'm very grateful.

Childhood influences are mostly soul, blues, Southern gospel, classic country, and some jazz. I’ve absorbed a bit of almost everything else since.

I have no formal training. That has drawbacks, but it makes it easy to bend or ignore rules. Consequently, almost none of my music fits into an existing genre.

There’s a saying the Marines have about dealing with obstacles: “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome”. I agree, so I took the liberty of creating a new category for myself: INTERGALACTIC MUSIC.

I’m still figuring out what that means. For now, I'll say that I seek to honor the past while creating something new, doing my heroes proud in the process.
