Based out of Southern Illinois, Giddy Up Gangsta was formed in 2007. Known as the MySpace metal kings of the south, they quickly became widely popular with a cult like following. GUG were especially known for their highly energetic and perfect stage presence, live shows were not something to miss when these guys came to town! Over the years, they have played along side many national touring bands. The band went on hiatus but the energy did not stop, in-fact the popularity has only grown over the years. A re-issue of their EP in 2021 with new art work was released under Beentherescenethat Records. With the band having over 200,000 streams spread out on many platforms not claimed by any of the members, the band decided it was time to rise from the dead. While only one teaser of new music was uploaded to a short on YouTube, they do have some rough footage of songs from the MySpace erra that were never recorded. Be on the look out for more GUG!
