Gift Genesis is a South African born musician raised in the UK since the age of 10. His musical prowess is an eclectically infused influence of grime, hip hop, kwaito, rnb and Afrobeat.
He has described his sound as a “poetic reflection of the present, past and future”, presently his ready to release his debut album titled GODS GIFT, he states “being the son of a second generation immigrant it’s been a juxtaposition of two worlds”. Referring to his social awareness of being an African born musician raised in the UK rich in culture “it’s a balance sonically and lyrically when I create, but most importantly vibe, energy and spirit drive the process”.
Genesis is also a entrepreneur by trade with a degree in music industry management and a masters in innovation management & entrepreneurship. He founded standupstudiouk in 2019 and also works in tandem with local charity’s running musical workshops in his local community. He states “ music in a necessity in my life, however I enjoy many aspects of it from engineering, producing to management”.
His excited to share his latest piece with the world, as he believes it’s a true reflection of his artistic Freedom. With plenty features from affiliates and BHE partners produced by 3 local producers, he is proud of showcasing Bournemouth and Johannesburg to the world.
