Gigi Lee’s musical journey began in the UK, where she developed a passion for house music. Returning to Shanghai, she stood out with her edgy style, distinct voice, and unconventional attitude.
In 2020, Gigi debuted in China with the trip-hop single 'Would You Be My Valentine' on Valentine's day. Followed up with 'No More', a deep house track with Greek producer G Spice, released under W&O Street Tracks and featured by Beatport as “BEST NEW DEEP HOUSE.” Later that year, she unveiled her jazzy hip-hop single 'Don’t Let Go'.
Her career took off in 2021 with the electronic pop track 'Mango Mango', earning her media attention from Grazia, Mixmag, and DJane Mag. She then signed with Warner Music, releasing the big beat single 'ISOLATION', which charted five times on NetEase. She capped the year as PYRO Music’s 'BEST HOUSE DJ' and #5 on DJane Mag China’s list.
In 2022, her catchy single '妈妈的水饺' (Mom’s Dumplings) went viral on Chinese social media. That September, she took part in Shanghai 48-Hour Film Festival and won 'BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC'.
By 2023, Gigi embarked on a prestigious 6-month art residency at Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, exploring her own transformation and artistry. In the end of the residency, she was invited to Tomorrowland by Coca-Cola and appeared in their commercial.
In 2024, she relocated to London, Amsterdam and Berlin for her music career, each city serving as a catalyst for her artistic growth.
