Gillo is a versatile Italian reggae artist: singer, MC, radio DJ and songwriter. He started in 2000 with the band Reggae Fistols, releasing an album on EMI Italy produced by Valter Vincenti (Alborosie).
Together with DJ Scara, he co-founded the Rude Society sound system, playing alongside legends such as David Rodigan. Now active in London as Scaraman, DJ Scara collaborates with international reggae artists on production and mastering.
Gillo has produced several original projects like the Sativa Roots Ensemble and continues to blend roots reggae with his unmistakable rock attitude.
His latest venture is a series of historic covers reimagined with ukulele in reggae style, produced by Valter Vincenti. The first single is a reggae cover of "Non è per sempre" by Afterhours.
Now on tour with a powerful trio (ukulele, bass, drums) featuring Jambo (Train to Roots) and Robbie.DB (The Rightstuff).
