During his teenage years, GIMI experienced racism as the only foreigner in a small Swiss village. He began expressing himself through poetry and performing rap songs in front of school audiences. In Switzerland, he is best known for his track «Schwizer Pass», which gained attention for its sharp critique of the naturalization process, delivered with lyrical skill and directness.
For the past five years, GIMI has been consistently honing his craft — writing, composing, and performing his own music. His introspective and often melancholic lyrics, paired with atmospheric instrumentals, create a sound that is both authentic and distinctive. While his fan base remains niche, it is deeply engaged and appreciative of his message-driven artistry.
To date, GIMI has released five EPs and fifteen singles. His two latest projects,
«O U T K A S T» & «O U T K A S T II», showcase his ability to blend genres such as pop, rock, punk and rap — often layered with mellow, emotionally charged vocals. These works underline his evolving artistry and genre-defying style.
