Dr. Jennifer "Gin" Cooley is a versatile American talent known for her work as an international fashion model, psychotherapist, and musician from rural, west Tennessee. She continues her work in psychology as a licensed psychotherapist with an emphasis’ in serving marginalized groups in high risk settings , including super maximum security prisons, rehab centers and therapeutic foster care.
Gin has a commanding, eclectic style, spanning dark neo-folk with ethereal, lullaby vocals to her most recent southern gothic-inspired country ballads, showcasing her high octane vocal range and storytelling prowess.
Her rendition of “Drømde mik en drøm i nat”, hails as the oldest known secular song in the Nordic countries, written around 1300. It is written in Old East Norse and is included in Codex Runicus, a transcript of Scanian Law. Other dark folk ballads “Valhalla Lullaby” and "War March feat. Bjorth" emulate those of Kalandra, Anilah, and Myrkur. She was a featured collaborator for “Wanderer", off the "Midgard Rising" EP by German composer and music director, Björn Hoppen. Gin has been a featured vocalist for a variety of musical acts and has premiered and screened her musical work in collaboration with indie filmmaker Jeff Wyatt Wilson at film festivals around the world.
