Gina-Raye was born June 19, 1972. She is an American singer, songwriter, dancer & actor. Born & raised in High Point, NC, Gina-Raye decided at the age of 14 yrs old, to enter a lip sync contest at Daddio's Dance Club in Greensboro, NC. She won 1st place for her rendition of Madonna's Dress You Up. Gina-Raye was in her school chorus from 3rd to 12th grade.
Gina-Raye moved to Los Angeles, California in 1997 to pursue a career in music & acting. She joined S.A.G /AFTRA in 1999 & used acting as a way to finance her love of making music. In 2004, she finished her Songwriting Certificate from UCLA Extension & started releasing her self-penned & co-written singles. Her love of writing lead her to working with other gifted songwriters & music producers.
