Birthed from the loins of suburban Canada, armed with an electric bass and joined by various other artists, Gio is on a quest of sonic exploration. From his first release - <a href="spotify:track:5ihlKs6qQvd3RhignkpEyh" data-name="shit s l a p p s">shit s l a p p s</a> - Gio established himself in the r’n’b/rock fusion world. Perpetuated by the release of his debut EP <a href="spotify:album:6MD0al5sv267l2NzA0zImL" data-name="Gio's Mayonnaise">Gio's Mayonnaise</a> and his follow up album Mouthful of Gio (coming June 2023).
Gio got his start working in a multi-faceted student band and quickly teamed with songwriter Paolo Pace (<a href="spotify:artist:0Lb1YBpFIfeuClLijR093V" data-name="Float Point">Float Point</a>) to form the progressive rock band <a href="spotify:artist:3vAXZo0Xz8TtdnF3u4gxsW" data-name="Forest.">Forest.</a> with which they played a plethora of shows throughout the bars and venues of Ottawa. Gio continued to expand over the music scene in Ottawa, performing with Ebb & Flow (atmospheric rock), Everyone Wants to be a Ninja (Math Metal), Los Jefes (Blues), Rushed (RUSH cover band) and Aluminum Balloon (Led Zeppelin cover band).
