“Never predictable, never common, yet never failing to deliver on a solid groove. There are four or five distinct aspects to Giorgio Luceri’s sound; each has its acolytes and supporters, but I love it when they come together as one." - Terry Mathew (5 Magazine Chicago).
Italian electronic music artist and DJ, Giorgio Luceri, skillfully blends classic house and techno with a modern touch. Collaborating with legends such as Gene Hunt, Kai Alce, Jenifa Mayanja, and the renowned Gerald Donald of Drexciya, he has gained acclaim for his diverse releases. Starting in Brooklyn in 2011 with the "6D22 EP," curated by Marcos Cabral and Jacques Renault, Giorgio's music flowed seamlessly through the hands of the Chicagoan maestro Hieroglyphic Being for six uninterrupted years. From 2012 to 2018, Mathematics Recordings witnessed the release of his discography, including the album "Voices in my Head."
Since 2015, Giorgio has ventured into side projects under the monikers "Garofano Rosso" and "6D22," exploring cinema-inspired electro, horror disco, and post-punk. "6D22" debuted in 2015 on Mathematics, showcasing Detroit techno influences in EPs like "ISTAR" and "Dragon's Path," released on Zeinkali and Midnight Shift. Collaborations extend to labels such as Compost Records, Macadam Mambo, and Uzuri Recordings, notably contributing to the "Space Fire Truth" saga.
