Giorgos Pagalos

Originally from Messara, Heraklion, Crete, George Pagalos has lived most of his life in Volos, Greece.
From the age of 5 he started playing music, initially learning guitar and keyboard in a conservatory. Later, at the age of 12, the Cretan lyra became, due to its origin, his favorite musical instrument.
As a first-year student of the Gymnastics Academy of Thessaloniki, he became involved in music, learning many instruments and many types of music at the same time. He was active as a singer and musician, initially in the field of Cretan tradition and then in other genres of Greek music, folk, rebetika, traditional, art, rock ..
Obtaining the Diploma in Byzantine Music, he found himself teaching traditional musical instruments at the Music School of Volos from 2001 until today. He has collaborated with many famous artists such as George Dalara, Glykeria, Themis Adamantidis, Zafeiri Mela, Peggy Zina, George Margaritiw, Stathis Angelopoulos, Alekos Zazopoulos, Harry Costopoulos, Matthaios Giannoulis, Efi Thodi, Vassis Batis Antonis Fragiadakis, George&Nikos Stratakis and many others.

His extremely intense and very successful professional career, along with his vast experience, gave him a lot of dynamism and recognition. Its strong point is the huge repertoire, in almost all types of Greek music, the inexhaustible energy and the very good contact and communication with the public.
