Gird_09's final album "The Icarus Puppet" from 2014 was an exploration of all the themes and styles he had delved into over the twenty years since the formation in 1994. Gird_09 experimented with a range of expressions and content, with an early emphasis on inspiration from EBM and industrial, slowly developing into a form of ambient.
Taking his monicker from an experimental Soviet rocket the name was always meant to reflect an interest in the juxtaposition of humanity and technology, and morality and the evolution of human society.
After deciding that Gird_09 was indeed dead after twenty years he has gone on to create music as Sølvkre. A more melodic counterpart to the experimentalism of Gird_09.
