GLADYS

Talented and multifaceted, <a href="spotify:artist:5WSvRwsJZ3anq2HeoG2JNh" data-name="GLADYS">GLADYS</a> is a Toronto-based artist. Having always dreamed of being a musician, she started producing music at the age of 15. Growing up in the heart of the city, GLADYS was able to express and explore her love for music throughout her entire life. Starting with piano lessons, she quickly progressed with curiosity to guitar, clarinet, saxophone, then bass. She was heavily involved in choir from elementary, secondary and to to high school. Her arts high school allowed her to explore in different areas of art; however, she always gravitated towards any subject musically related such as band, choir and musical theatre.

GLADYS started her production journey at the age of 15 by using GarageBand on her iPod Touch, mostly experimentally. Over time, she started playing her guitar and singing, and has shared many covers of songs to SoundCloud. In her early production days, she innovatively used Apple&#39;s wired headphones as her microphone, looping them through a clip handle on a reusable water bottle to act as a stand. She has since purchased an actual microphone.

GLADYS has been a part of several collaborations including her recent features with <a href="spotify:artist:1ZlOfoXp8467Kn6oCPL1kD" data-name="Joe West">Joe West</a>.
