Formed in 2016 by four songwriting students in Cardiff, Glass Jackets are a folk rock band with an infectious sound that calls upon influences spanning countries and generations. The band’s front woman, Ilana Held, hails from Boston, USA, where she grew up listening to the likes of Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac, and learned to write music with an authentic American twang. Combine this with Elliot Oakley’s Liverpudlian upbringing and his passion for all things Beatles, and you get the one of a kind sound that is Glass Jackets. This is only enhanced by the contributions of drummer Lucas Eldridge, and bass player James Sarson, who help mould the Glass Jackets sound into what it is.
