This band is a labor of love, rooted in deep and meaningful relationships with family and friends, and with Jesus Christ our Lord. It is a privilege to make music together with my daughter, Hannah, Doug Dillon, my loyal friend of several decades, and my somewhat newer friend, Bret, whose family I have also known (and loved) for decades.
The music reflects my penchant for not having a favorite anything. You will hear influences from the blues, jazz, Latin salsa, rock-and-roll, and God knows what else, because I listen to all that stuff.
While this is my first commercial album, these 8 songs, some newly written, some dusted off, are just the tip of the iceberg from my catalog. If it goes well, and people like it, I would love to make another one for you.
I aim to make my lyrics engaging and accessible, referencing spiritual themes without invoking religious platitudes or clichés. I also like to send my listeners home with a good joke or two. As you listen, I hope you will dance and sing along. I pray you would feel encouraged, challenged, inspired, and drawn toward heaven. I also hope you laugh at my jokes. ;-)
