Globalites is the fusion of two artists going by the name of “Luzingo” and “Luis Linton”.
Characterized by multiple musical backgrounds such as Reggae, Hip Hop, Soul or African and Spanish Folk, they would personally put their work under the bracket of World Music. They describe themselves not only as musicians, but also as music lovers: they don’t like to limit their music to a specific genre.
As Luzingo says: “Music is the source and the product of my inspiration.” “Just the vibes” might be their favourite slogan.
Unified versatility, no boundaries in music.
They explore themes ranging from love to social commentary, all products of joint reasoning and meditation. “When we hang out, we like to watch documentaries, talk about history or politics (…)”
Though the fun in their music is unmistakeable.
They come from Angola and Germany, yet they still share the same state of mind. Both have travelled a lot and believe in invariably equality. In fact, that was not only name giving, but also greatly responsible for their lyrical content.
They would consider themselves to be children of the Global Village.
The two artists first met at a young age in 2010 on a festival in Germany. Vibing around, they quickly found out that they sharing the same interests. In the following years they managed to meet up a couple of times. Weeks of work, that gave the material, from which they chose the songs for their first LP called “Strobelights”.
