Gloria, a psych rock girl group from Lyon France, has been revisiting the echoes of the 60s for several years, blending modernity with tasty retro references. Led by the mesmerizing voices of Wendy Martinez, Amy Winterbotham, and Marie Louise Bourgeois, under the guidance of guitarist-producer Kid Victrola, the band transcends genres.
Their sonic universe— from raw garage rock to celestial pop and mystical folk—summons the spirits of the 60s while resonating with Motown and the 90s indie rock. A true witches' brew, their sound is a captivating mix of fuzz and the group’s distinctive harmonies.
Since their acclaimed debut album In Excelsis Stereo (2016), followed by an EP and their second LP Sabbat Matters (2021), Gloria has graced stages across Europe alongside acts like Altin Gün, Woods, The Soundcarriers or Slift. They’ve been filmed by KEXP, featured in AMC’s series Lodge 49, and made a mark with their iconic trio of frontwomen—a three-headed vocal hydra.
In 2025, Gloria returns with a third album inspired by ancient mythology, where muses and deities intertwine with their sonic world. More rock-driven and disenchanted, this opus pays homage to the thematic LP's of the 60s while exploring new horizons. In the shadow of the 60s garage temple, Gloria continues to invent the future of the past.
