The Kings of Classic Rock Mashups: GNTL MOTORS RELEASED THE FIRST EVER MASHUP ALBUM "Highway Songs With Big Bawls!" IN FINLAND ON May 5th 2023.
GNTL Motors' debut album is a veritable feast for the ears, blending classic rock hits with a unique, edgy twist. GNTL Motors has been making waves in the Finnish music scene for several years now, and their latest offering is their most ambitious yet. The band's signature sound, which combines hard-hitting guitar riffs, thundering drums, and soulful vocals, is on full display throughout the album's 13 tracks. On the new album the band had the pleasure of working with guest vocalists: legendary Remu Aaltonen (Hurriganes), Maria Hänninen and Dimitri Keiski.
The album's standout tracks include "Highway Game," which is a mashup of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and Deep Purple's "Highway Star," and "Ghost of Spades," which blends the country classic "Ghost Riders in the Sky" with Motörhead's "Ace of Spades."
During the last few years there have been a plethora of mashup videos in YouTube with classic songs mixed together, but there are not too many bands that can do the same thing live. GNTL Motors have taken the concept to another level with their Roadmovie Mashups and stage props that complement the theme. On stage the band has a drum set pimped out as a hot rod car, microphone stands made out of motorcycle wheels and exhaust pipes and guitars made of US register plates and oil cans.
