After a long hiatus, to focus on traditional broadcast radio, “The world’s most charismatic dead man”, GOBS THE ZOMBIE, is back… and he’s got a fresh new sound. Pounding kick drums, oldskool rave stabs, and dark seedy vocals combine to form a style of TECHNO that is an ode to the pioneering years of electronic dance music while equally pushing forward into the future! Their new sound is perfect for a fetish party or dark warehouse vibe. This is “Gobby Z” like you’ve never seen them before.
There are few people that love music quite as much as Gobs. They’re a radio host, music producer, and one of the worlds best open format DJs. Gobs first gained notoriety as a rave MC, known then as “Gobstoppa”. During the 2000’s they held residencies with Toronto’s legendary Hullabaloo! and Goodfellaz event promotion crews. Starting in 2006, Gobs began performing as a living dead DJ, under the moniker, Gobs The Zombie. The popularity of the act led to their relocating to New York City, and touring around North America from 2011 through 2013. During this time, Gobs produced aggressive electronic music as both Gobs The Zombie and Smut Pushers, scoring releases on famed labels, Ultra and Play Records, amongst others.
Now Gobs is ready to return to the DJ circuit armed with a digital crate of absolute fire for future forward, raver friendly dancefloors.
