Goddexx imagines the space between god and goddess and celebrates, in all its forms, the feminine energy that animates the world.
Goddexx is the new project from Canadian music producers Sam Steele & Josh McRae. Formerly <a href="spotify:artist:6eV0pa3RCw5LIkwgdC1pv7" data-name="Diana Boss">Diana Boss</a>, the duo returns ready to craft a vibe uniquely their own with a deeper, heavier, techy vocal house sound inspired by the queer underground that has raised them. Influenced by the sounds of <a href="spotify:artist:5kA0fIY29Fnfu4U2I2xvki" data-name="David Penn">David Penn</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3h11MHQeCrcsUgRRijI1zL" data-name="Mark Knight">Mark Knight</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0BSNfFPlI0efsuZljJtknX" data-name="Dario D'Attis">Dario D'Attis</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0VN7mz2rIvpw0FOvZV6p25" data-name="Alaia & Gallo">Alaia & Gallo</a> Goddexx uses music, art and conversation to form meaningful and lasting collaborations with artists, promoters, the community, and the environment.
Past successes have included supporting the likes of Gene Farris, Sonny Fodera, Karsten Sollors as well as a string of festival appearances at Yelapa Festival, Rifflandia, Juno Fest, and Center of Gravity. Their music placements include the Japanese reality show “Terrace House” featuring their 2017 single “Simple Girl” and CBC’s sitcom “Queens” featuring their 2017 single “Give Me Life feat. Quanah Style.” They have also cracked the top 10 on Beatport’s Nu Disco / Disco, Indie Dance and House charts with 2020 release “Make U Feel Good” on NYLO Music.
2020 brings major releases on Westwood Recordings, NYLO Music, and UFO Recordz as well as collaborations with Scarlett Bobo, Quanah Style and Elle Wolf.
