Richmond-born artist <a href="spotify:artist:7om65XrqZSE1AB7efplJJu" data-name="Goheezy">Goheezy</a> produces a unique style blending ambient tones with trap beats. Born Aneas Bowman he started his love of music at the age of 4 where he would spend hours with his Grandmother singing and playing the piano. Over the years Aneas has picked up various other instruments such as Saxophone, Drums, Woodwind instruments, and Guitar.
Aneas started rapping in high school appearing on fellow rapper <a href="spotify:artist:2i0TPopD7UqPxppXIltqzU" data-name="Kbrezzy">Kbrezzy</a>'s song "The Return Vol. 1" in 2021. After a breakup with his first love, he soon turned his emotion into song form dropping his debut album "<a href="spotify:album:0Wr08jGl6AZt55pbQj8CLU" data-name="Condensation">Condensation</a>" later in 2021. The defining song from the album <a href="spotify:track:0677Lu3N6JuO9NOPi6LedB" data-name="5 Words">5 Words</a> sees him team up with long time friends and artist <a href="spotify:artist:4yzjiHVLGQUQMcTpcJUzC6" data-name="TheAndy555">TheAndy555</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0pDVFe9L3PxuY1zESwxP01" data-name="Young Joey">Young Joey</a> is portraying the start of the story Aneas is telling. He wanted the breakup to define the character he was building and by using a nickname he went by he made Goheezy. "He represents everything you don't want in an ex" Aneas said when discussing the release of his second album "<a href="spotify:album:2ggpIgyfTaBwplPMOMlY8U" data-name="Total Disarray">Total Disarray</a>" in 2022, the album itself serves as the opposite of <a href="spotify:album:0Wr08jGl6AZt55pbQj8CLU" data-name="Condensation">Condensation</a> with most tracks mirroring ones found on the album.
Aneas took a small break in 2023 only releasing 2 singles and later in the year dropping a surprise anniversary deluxe to Total Disarray with "<a href="spotify:album:0ioyFZNvgezZ5fHAkzIhmd" data-name="Total Disarray: Melodies of Disorder">Total Disarray: Melodies of Disorder</a>". He now sets his focus on the final album in the trilogy DSFL, releasing sometime in June-July 2024.
