Göknil Gökmen, who started his career as a DJ in the mid-90s, soon started playing in the most important nightclubs of Istanbul. Twenty (20), Fourteen, Milk etc. Göknil, who was a resident dj in many important venues of the city, was at the legendary program of Radio 2019, the first and only dance music station of Turkey at that time, Dance Department, offering electronic music lovers the best of house, deep, jazzy, soulful and tech house and detroit techno. he created a unique style by presenting examples; contributed to the formation of an audience loyal to this genre. Combining the elegance of jazz, the soul of Soul and the eccentricity of disco music with clunky house rhythms, bringing together house and industrial techno and other experimental works, the DJ's philosophy is to share all the depth and flow of his music with people.

Göknil Gökmen started to reach House music lovers all over the world with his Deep House productions under his own name and “Eastnsoul” pseudonym (AKA) since 2002, with Jazz and Funk influences. His piece “Pebbles” on the record titled "Jazz Vibes (Vinyl Selection) Part Two" published by British label Mettle Music, one of the most important record companies of the Deep House scene, was highly appreciated by deep house lovers all over the world.
