Gold Foil Hum is the ambient post-rock venture by Toronto producer Dan Hosh. In 2025, he released his debut album “Character Flaw,” which is described as the soundtrack to all of his favourite films. “Every song was written as an alternate score for movies I love. There’s a song called Coin Tosser on the record, and it’s what I imagined No Country For Old Men would sound like if the Coen Brothers had put music in the movie.”
The ten song release was mixed to cassette tape & built from all of the strange, left field ideas Hosh developed producing other artists in the studio. “Every time I did something weird sonically, and the artist wanted me to pull back, I saved it. If it was scary to them in some way, I knew it was good.”
