“I’m not trying to make something other people necessarily want to listen to. I’m trying to make something I want to jam out to forever,” says Pablo Alvarez, brainchild of the indie rhythmic alt-rock band Good Bison.
In the past 10 years, Good Bison has released three EPs, a mixtape, several singles, and worked on so much more music that never made it out of the studio. Alvarez broke the Guinness World Record for longest freestyle rap by live-streaming himself rhyming off the top for over 24 hours without taking any breaks. Twice.
While it can be seen as a risk to write music for yourself, it's one he took, and thankfully what he’s pulled off was grander than he could've ever expected.
