Goodmonster is an alt-rock band of high contrasts; with a pop/punk influence and southern gothic country edge, their music explores dark themes with a sense of hope and reverence. The songs chronicle battles with everyday monsters, quests for love and racing towards a meaningful existence.
Members hail from far across Sydney’s North, South and Western suburbs, converging in the Inner West like a swarm of angry bees to write, rehearse and record. At night, they perform energetic, dance-and-sing-along heavy live shows for appreciative crowds across Inner West venues including The Great Club, Petersham Bowlo and Moshpit.
Their next EP, The Wolf is Young, is scheduled for release in 2024. It will complete a trilogy of EPs that map the unique voice of Goodmonster; following Beautiful Illusion (2023) and Same Dream (2022), as mentioned in write ups from Milky and Scenestr.
