Goofy and the Regulars

With their roots in the blues, Goofy & the Regulars will take you on a journey through a musical era. The blues travel leads to main- and sidetracks of what is best defined as Funky-Rock and Rhythm & Blues. The Funky drums, Pumping low bass, Rock guitar, Blues harmonica and vocals, floating on the typical Hammond sound is what makes the Regulars. The Goofy part is the synergy between five soulmates resulting in a surprising, alternating mix of styles.

For many years the band members have been together. As the Mission Blues Band they released the CD "Head my warning". The blues travel went on tour through Europe. The band played at festivals, major support acts, in the smallest and largest pubs, night-clubs, Chinese restaurants, beach clubs, weddings and private parties up in the mountains. Until the mission slowed down.

Goofy & the Regulars started at such a private party up in the mountains. That explains the link with snowboarding. One was goofy the other ones regular and all with a strong urge to make music. Back home the urge became stronger. Very soon the Sunday evening rehearsal sessions in the forest at Jaap's place became a real need for all. It proved to be the most inspiring place and moment to capture it all: Goofy grooves & regular love songs. Live music about life. Comfortably cruising through music in the presence of inspiring friendship. The lyrics are partly fiction and partly autobiographical. All songs are composed by Goofy & the Regulars.
