Goondocks

Goondocks was born from the meeting of two young italian DJs and producers, grew up in Milan and Rome’s night-life. The two guys (Steve Rey & Jurij Liotta) hit the world of music production creating very personal bootleg of some classic pop tracks. Each one following different sounds but, nonetheless 360° music lovers, the Goondocks create a cross-project aimed to deliver a variegated sound.
It is in this experimental context that the two artists have rooted their will to combine – through selections that result from years of research of less commercial sounds – the underground philosophy of the Deep House scene and the idea of joy, friendship, will to party, and cheerfulness, in our idea of making music. Besides innovating the existing scene, this experimental profile creates a completely new clubbing scenario, where deep house vibes are finely selected in order to bring them to the big public and allow it to appreciate the sonorousness of the true house house music, although proposed in a modern interpretation. An open attitude towards novelties is the driving force that overcomes clichés that limit a genre to one standard environment or public; this way, music goes beyond the ideal borders given for granted, making every selection a unique, unrepeatable moment, and returns to being a means to unite people and spread joy among them.
