Formed in Speyside, Scotland’s whisky capital, Gordon James And The Power have quickly gathered a following throughout the North of the country with their heartfelt evocative songs. In November 2017 the trio released their self titled EP, Gathering radio plays and reviews from the voice of Scottish unsigned bands, Jim Gellaty and BBC radio nan gàidheal, Touring Scotland and even over to Norway.
In 2018 Recording a further two singles. ‘Blood’ and ‘In Beauty And Form’ featured talented musician and good friend Bob Neish. they attracted the attention of Party At The Palace promoters performing main Stage alongside @James and @Gabrielle. 2018 has also seen the band showcase at Xpo North, perform at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and headline Ironworks, Inverness. They again reached number 1 with single ‘Blood’ and the number 2 spot with ‘In Beauty And Form’. Featured as The Scottish Suns ‘track of the day’ Releasing a further single ‘Follow Me’.
2019 kicked off with our New Member Kenna Ross joining our family. Performing at the Camden Rocks ‘All Dayer’ at The Monarch, headlined a almost sold out Ironworks venue, Inverness. supporting @Toploader at a sold out Lossiemounth Town Hall. Festivals included XPO North, Belladrum, Bute, Speyfest, Jocktober, Sruighlea Summer festival, Glenfiddich Experiment #3. releasing Single ‘Fall in love’. Back in the studio with plans to releasing more Singles later in the year.
