Performing with a keyboard and guitar donned over his bass drum, longtime Philadelphian psychojazz drummer Christopher C. Wood combines his raw basement drum beats with earnest sunny vocals and airy tones to create a style of lo-fi dreamy art rock which is surely his own.
The live show features an interesting array of instruments, Wood playing a casio keyboard and/or guitar and drums simultaneously; guest friend musicians, stage decorations, interludes, and an unexpected journey from song to song.
Drawing inspiration from classic and modern psych rock and folk bands, Wood writes devotional, groove laden, extraordinarily catchy songs that are as rhythmically unique as they are melodically majestic.
January 2023 marked the release of his latest album "Cryptic Majestics", a home recorded self produced gem that's guided by beautiful vocals, jagged acoustic guitars, tribal drums, and lush vibes.
In November 2023 he released the “Beware The Blood Flame Mask EP”, a 5 song drumless acoustic album recorded that previous summer on GarageBand while house sitting for a friend.
In the Spring of 2024 bassist Vivian Lehrer joined Wood and the duo have been wowing their audiences performing at a variety of house shows, art galleries, and street festivals around the Philadelphia area.
