Gorilla Tophat

Introducing an all Canadian band Gorilla Tophat fronted by TIMA award nominated Vocalist Jacob Snow.

New Single Disco is slotted for release October 31st, 2022. “Disco” is smooth, refreshing and as groovy as ever. Disco showcases a long forgotten genre of music as Snow’s vocals are complemented with strings, horns, and as always, the grooviest of basslines. The new Single also includes a collaboration with vocalist Yassie Gezer from the UK.

Gorilla Tophat is bringing back the smooth, soulful magic of Funk and mixing in a little Disco. Overall they are defined by infinitely groovy bass lines and thought provoking lyrics, complimented with horns, piano, percussion, rock & funk vocals.

Gorilla Tophat is proudly Canadian coming out of Northern Ontario and was originally created by Bassist Alex Deuzeman (Bass/Guitar) and Front Man Jacob Snow (Vocals/Piano). Gorilla Tophat has made some changes to their artistic lineup with the exit of Bassist Alex Deuzeman in May 2022.

Their influences are widespread and include Artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield.
