GOTA is a four-piece indie rock band formed in 2020 in Taipei, Taiwan. The group consisted of Chu (guitar, vocals), Daping (guitar, vocals), OmOi (bass guitar, vocals), and Shaochi (drums).
The band debuted in 2021, and was invited to music festivals such as Park Park Carnival, Unlimited Freedom Festival. GOTA’s first EP, It Doesn’t Matter, was released in October 2022. In March 2023, GOTA collaborated with Mikan Hayashi (from Gestalt Girl) and released a new single, Moshimo. GOTA’s music cuts through everyone’s daily worries by the powerful live instruments performing.
成立於 2020 年的 GOTA，以兩把吉他、貝斯和鼓的傳統四件式編制行走江湖，台前三人皆能彈能唱，主唱並無特定人選。音樂風格以 Indie Rock 為主，歌詞擅於用直白且具轉化性的語句描述人們心中的矛盾與糾結，看似虛軟無力，實則在悲觀中暗藏希望，擁有與自己和解的療癒力量。
從 2021 年底展開演出活動，短短一年間入選「2022 The Next Big Thing 大團誕生」登上 Legacy 舞台，更陸續參演Park Park Carnival、無限自由音樂藝術節⋯⋯等音樂祭。首張錄音室作品《微不足道》於 2022/10 正式發行。2023年，GOTA與Mikan Hayashi（from ゲシュタルト乙女）合作，推出日文單曲〈もしも〉。在電子聲響當道的潮流中，GOTA 重拾器樂編曲的樂趣，用雙手演奏出能夠串連情緒的樂聲，讓聽眾再次回味搖滾樂的感動。
