Born in 1987, Berlin-based artist GOV has been in the music scene since 2005, expressing both the beauty and darker aspects of life through genres like experimental rock, ambient, and electronica.
As the founder and lead singer of the legendary duo Govinda's and rock band Morning Glory, GOV played as a bassist for The Beatles cover band The People and co-founded the pop-punk group The Groove with Valey Ventura.
In 2015, inspired by Kraftwerk, GOV released the EP "The Ferris Wheel" and promoted the album "Lights" through music videos, an ode to Berlin reflecting his experiences of hedonism, despair, and creative life.
His discography includes the deep-electronica record "I Want To Be Uh-huh" in 2020, "The Formula" in 2021 featuring breakbeat, jungle, and lo-fi sounds, and the rock album "Atipico" in the same year, exploring civil rights, existentialism, sex, and nonsense.
In June 2022, the alternative rock album "Senza Fine" was released, featuring singles such as "Pelle Acida", "Piccolo Joe" and "I Giardini Del Re".
GOV's seventh album, "Iridescenza Polvere Ombre," released in mid-September 2023, showcases his versatility with singles like the shoegaze rock double-single "Quando Vai Giù," "Jaja," "Vivi Con Me," and the romantic ballad "Cuore Mio."
GOV impresses with his eclecticism, seamlessly transitioning across genres while staying true to his artistic essence.
